Alabaster Walls Surround Me

cctv1

The current surveillance state in the world is spinning out of control. Never have we seen such monitoring and watching of the Public. Agencies, Corporations, and everything in between watching and recording what you do, when and how you do it. The scope of surveillance is large and ever growing. From the obvious to absolute obscure.

The surveillance industry boasts a massive 5 billion dollar a year industry, and growing. The call for more cameras and equipment is exponentially expanding and week after week and month after month it seems to be higher in demand with often nefarious purposes, although there are completely legitimate uses and forms of surveillance. There is no shortage of misuses and abuses abound and we will focus on this aspect directly. I will not attempt to offer answers to the reasoning behind al of this, only a topic of interest. I know I won’t cover everything I want to here, or even scratch the surface, world governments I won’t even get into. The topic is so huge and broad.

From cameras to wiretapping, mouse clicks to RFID and retinal scanners, GPS and credit cards, the vast array of topics is hard to gather into one coherent argument. So I will begin with some obvious points.

I think at this point we have all seen the admitted abuses of the IRS email surveillance, whereas the IRS taken it upon itself to warrantless breaches into your email or other electronic forms of communications, and also the NSA have admitted they have warrantless wiretaps of the media and social circles. People need to ask the question why the actions were discussed inside these agencies and what purposes they serve.

We also see heavy reliance on Biometrics, now Biometric Authentication mainly revolves around fingerprint scanning. It’s generally used in the workplace as a form of managing employees when in fact by it’s very definition is a form of surveillance. It’s a way of monitoring a group of people to see their trends or habits. Biometrics is also on par with Retinal scanning, which is another form of high tech surveillance emerging quickly.

As one prime example of Retinal Scanning Surveillance , Xbox Kinect has now developed a plan for Microsoft to monitor through eye movements, what you look at, click on, and offer incentives for those who participate. This is a form of control, this allows a monopoly such as Microsoft to zero in on specific customers or large groups of customers to selectively gear advertisements or possibly information from the source. It will track everything you watch on tv.

There are so many forms and ways to watch and surveil the public from Britain’s insane amount of cameras on the streets to tracking through Global Positioning on your cel phone , to Smart Meters on the side of your house. But the ne form that is emerging that has me concerned as to it’s infantile direction and uses is RFID.

This is a form of surveillance used currently in cattle and livestock as well as pets for location purposes. With simple modifications this chip can also contain a whole host of information including and not limited to your medical information, banking and personal information, not forgetting logistical data. As a form of information gathering, data mining and human surveillance this technology must have governments and corporations (which tend to go hand in hand these days) salivating. Easily and discretely administered, this chip could be initially requested for a host of purposes, but more nefariously could be administered through inoculations without anyone consenting…which when watching the current state of deceit in todays political, corporate and media driven society, isn’t much of a stretch.

So I sit and wait, with alabaster walls surrounding me, making a fort out of couch cushions, waiting for the hammer to drop.

Complicated Measures Abroad

There seems to be rising concerns about what is happening primarily in Syria, Russia, China / N.Korea and now more importantly Iran. It would seem that many threats and acts of provocation are taking place, not only by the aforementioned, but by Israel and the US.

Looking from the outside in, and trying to determine who is doing what, and more importantly why…it seems that many factions have clear and concise messages they are sending forth. There is no denying certain facts, things happen, and have happened that cannot be ignored but even saying that, I think even a semi logical or rational view needs to take place. Am I the one to present this view, unequivocally no. That being said, I have no agenda, I do not support or endorse any particular faction, and nor do I want to. I do however watch these things and events (seen and unseen, with, yes granted supposition and heresay at times) unfold and intertwine in a connect the dots sort of fashion.

So what is the point right? Well we see some disturbing things happening, Iran is now deploying a massive advanced missile defense perimeter, spread out widely across their borders, in anticipation of what? What nation arbitrarily does this. There must be a motivation behind such a decision. This is not some rinky dink action easily thrown together, there are some major deployment, personale, logistic and economic factors to seriously consider before an undertaking like this.

We also see Russia pumping arms into Syria to back Assad, they (Russia) have now warned Israel and the US to stop attacking Syria, and definitely, definitely, do not invade or they will continually supply weapons and support. This also rides the coat tails of China who has also warned no more attacks on Syria or things will get ugly..and stay away from Iran.

So taking these extreme recent postures by these nations, we should look at the reasoning behind these defensive actions. Why would nations stand up and deny aggression into Syria or Iran in such a clear manner? Reported months ago by Western Media outlets, Assad had used chemical weapons. Strangely after that rhetoric didn’t stick with people and nothing was proven conclusively, it has now dropped out of the media spotlight, where it was previously pedal to the metal pumped into the Western psyche, this I believe was intended to be the catalyst or springboard or more to the point, the excuse. Now rockets get launched from Syria into Israel and other numerous close regions.

Why are the US and Israel wanting this war in Syria or Iran so badly? I would love to hear comments on this particular issue and especially things I have neglected to say coherently. I have my own theory on this (well mabe two theories) but I’ll lay out very briefly why I think this is going on. Is what we see in the media soley geared towards garnering support for another invasion or are they reporting truth? With the recent admissions of the wire tapping of various media outlets, credibility has to be given to the western media now with a grain of salt.

I have a distinct feeling, and I’ll describe this as a feeling, but I have watched and educated myself on this particular subject a little in recent years. I think the American economy is going to collapse. I think this is all about money and how to prop up, private central banks and a future global economy.

Current Media Meta

Sometimes I wonder about things…

I wonder about the current media meta. When the society we live in is portrayed primarily as being in constant turmoil, or under threat or just in a state of hesitency or fear. There never seems to be a break from this constant bombardment of negative hopelessness or unattainable solutions that are created by elite individuals that the common, average person has no hope of ever solving or at this point bringing coherently to the attention that it (whatever the issue may be) most certainly deserves.

I understand that voices are heard, attempts are made, but all in all when you take a step back and look at it, at the rate information and news are disseminated into culture, it is not what it used to be, it’s function as news is lost, important issues are now a talking point for the moment, most times when it benefits someone financially. The job of the media seems now completely skewed and biased by sponsors or hand picked pundits who are put onto the airwaves to support and qualify a certain view. The function has been lost.

News in it’s purest (or nearest measure) form should be unbiased information, it should not be opinionated, it should not be sponsored or politically empowered to spin or coerce the viewing masses into single thought bias. It’s all boils down to the bottom line, the money.

Sure companies need to make money, they need to pay the employees and pay for airtime and whatever other expenses may arise, but it should not run or decide content complimentary to, or maybe more importantly, exponentially beneficial to one faction in order to qwell another. To many times I feel what the major monopoly media companies try to push is useless information in order to dictate a current (or more egregious thought) future cultural meta. They seem to have the ability to form public opinion, before events of any factual, provable nature arise.

I see Western populations with homeless, starving, unemployed, addicted broken people…but it seems this is not news worthy, not in the larger spectrum, not in the big picture. I don’t see constant coverage for days (and in some cases weeks) of the families inside the North American continent starving or homeless, I don’t see constant coverage day after day, hour after hour of important personal issues being fed into our lives that need attention in sometimes dire circumstances. What gets the top story is how some girl murders her boyfriend or how some movie star gets an operation. It’s all fluff, nothing with substance, things don’t get covered properly.

You tell me that Angelina Jolies’ aunt dies, how does this impact my life?…You tell me Jodi Arias might get life or death?…why do I care, how is this a functional part of the social structure at this point in human history. The organisations that broadcast this constant mindless, useless information (on par with ignorant talkshows and you know what I’m talking about) need to re-evaluate their priorities and focus on unbiased existing issues that currently plague us as a species.

I have so many sporatic, incoherent thoughts that arise, that I can’t voice them properly, but I hope this may give at least one person some cause to re-think what they see and how they digest it.
